I've been counting yard signs lately. The Obama signs are everwhere, they look pristine, proud and magnificent scattered all around our town.
On the other hand the McCain signs look like they've been through a hurricane.
The yard signs are beaten down, bent, tossed aside, and stomped on. I stop frequently to prop them up but it's no use. The Democrats destroy them faster than we can get them up. Unfortunately homeowners who dare to display McCain signs often suffer for it with various degrees of vandalism to houses and flower beds. Most people I know wouldn't even consider sporting a McCain bumper sticker because the incidence of cars being 'keyed' is almost a hundred per cent in our town.
Sometimes I think it would be a good idea to mark McCain signs with that indelible pink ink that banks use to protect stolen dollars. Perhaps a hot pink dye job would discourage further vandalism. Right . . . like radical Democrats hate standing out in a crowd.
Maybe the RNC could invest in sirens and motion lights for every sign? Maybe we could have them made out of titanium and sink them really deep into the earth's crust? Razor wire? Pitt bulls?
I'm pretty sure we won't be able to count on the common decency of radical Democrats anytime soon.
My Democrat friends are not unduly disturbed by the one-sided vandalism they see. They point out that the radicals do not represent ordinary Democrats. And I guess that's that.
